It feels good to revisit some forgotten favorites and new additions for fall! I think that I should have been a little more concerned about a leather overload between my jacket, coated jeans, shoes and bag but I'll just call it a play on textures. Lol, how are you overindulging this autumn?
I know, I know...long time no see! I figured I should check in for some fall fashion before I forget how to blog altogether. Seeing as I purchased this peplum jacket back during the summer, it was definitely time to give it a whirl for a warmer autumn day. Paired with a forest green cropped pant, glittery earrings and nude pumps, it was a fun ensemble for an after work happy hour.
What's your go to for a quick transition from work to fun?
Since those of us in the Midwest have at least half the year to enjoy jackets, coats and boots - I'm taking my sweet time switching over from summer. Donning a light sweater, ripped jeans and pumps seemed like a good compromise as I mentally prepare for the colder months. And since I'm a rebel without a cause, I made sure to incorporate a neon hue...hope I'm not the only one bending the rules!
Nothing like a floral blouse and ruffled skirt to make me feel like a femme fatale. And the saturated shades give it just the right amount of oomph! But as much as I'll miss my summer threads, I am quite looking forward to all of the fall layering possibilities before winter takes over. I've been stocking up on animal prints, cozy neutrals and lots of leather accents...how are you getting set for fall fashion?
It goes without saying, but it really gets no simpler than a breezy maxi in the summer.
For a recent family reunion in Myrtle Beach, it was a no brainer for the humid heat - whether walking on the beach, riding the Skywheel or over indulging at Cracker Barrel (lol) it was perfect for whatever the day held. Looking cool and composed was just another bonus!
As someone that is perpetually running late, I love being able to throw on a button up shirt to look put together in a flash. After all, this little ensemble was thrown together in 5 minutes flat. However, I like to think that I may have fooled some folks into thinking that it was carefully selected, ironed and pressed the night before...considering I don't even own an iron that was definitely not the case!
Lol, how are you dressing for these last summer weekends?
